With an anticipating crowd comprising of both children and parents surrounding the Crossroads, author SherMay Loh successfully launched her first novel, Archibald And The Blue Blood Conspiracy in a fun-filled event hosted by creative writing school, Monsters Under The Bed.

During the book launch, SherMay shared that her inspiration to write Archibald And The Blue Blood Conspiracy – Singapore’s latest adventure mystery novel for eight to fifteen-year-olds – was sparked from her visit to England her encounters with the different castles. She was also interactive with the audience and invited two children to read along with her in a short dramatic reading session, and she also revealed her plans to write the second book to the Archibald series.

As the event progressed, the children became more enthusiastic when they were given chances to participate in a ‘finger-jousting’ game, introduced by Monsters Under The Bed. It was during this segment that drew in the most crowd – even adults who were walking past were fascinated and happy to stop by and check out the event for a while as well as to cheer the children on!

The author also took the chance during this joyous occasion to announce the winner of the pre-launch writing contest who turned out to be a lucky eight year old girl who was present amongst the audience. The budding writer walked away with the prize of an iPad 2!
