The executive chef of 'Kitcho', Japan's premier dining establishment, and the grandson of Teiichi Yuki, who is well-known for his Japanese haute kaiseki cuisine, Master Chef Tokuoka has worked in the kitchen at 'Kitcho' for over thirty-five years, starting at the tender age of fifteen. In 2008, he catered for the G8 Summit in Hokkaido, Japan, and in 2009, 'Kitcho Arashiyama' was awarded three stars and 'Hana Kitcho' was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide. Most recently in May 2010, he opened 'kunio tokuoka', a restaurant that offers a modern twist on the classical kaiseki and his first international outlet outside of Japan. Kitcho: Japan's Ultimate Dining Experience offers readers the chance to peek behind the closed doors of this premier restaurant in Japan.
