International Public Finance

This book is a path-breaking analysis of international public economics - the ways that countries finance development in other countries - and an exposition of a new approach, which the author calls 'international public finance'. It develops concepts such as automatism (as opposed to voluntarism) and the use of global commons. It provides a comprehensive framework as an alternative to the current patchwork of theories and programmes in international finance of development.
