Scholars of religion and the Bible examine texts of the Dead Sea Scrolls that interpret what is now canonical scripture. Their topics include interpretations of the creation of humanity, the Pseudo-Ezekiel fragments (4Q383-391) from cave four, the prophet David at Qumran, and Psalm 91 in premodern interpretation and at Qumran. The nine papers are from a February 2001 conference at Rice University. Only ancient texts and modern authors are indexed. Annotation 2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
