The Other America : Caribbean Literature in a New World Context (New World Studies)

This work explores two centuries of Caribbean literature from a comparative perspective. The author examines English, French and Spanish-speaking writers and aesthetic movements of the Caribbean, arguing that previous studies have ignored the modern, global and historical nature of the region.
