This monograph provides a Bakhtinian analysis of Haggai-Zechariah 1-8. Applying the theory of genre as a textual embodiment of a world view, this study analyzes how Haggai-Zechariah 1-8 informs the generic perspective of the chronicles. The text's socio-historical context and socio-political function are likewise examined.
