The Crawling Band as an Exchange Rate Regime - Lessons from Chile, Colombia, and Israel

This study examines the experiences of Chile, Colombia and Israel, who have recently begun to operate exchange-rate systems of "crawling bands". It compares their experiences with 15 similar countries and concludes that the crawling band exchange-rate policy has contributed to their success.
