A work on the decipherment of Mayan writing, this book grew out of the Albany conference - a gathering of the leading Mayanists who were working within the modern, linguistically-informed paradigm for the analysis of Mayan hieroglyphic text. It contains nine seminal articles and appendixes, and focuses on decipherment methodology.
