Sound of Their Music: The Story of Rodgers & Hammerstein (Applause Books")

The original work was published in 1978; although this book is not so identified in the title, this is a second or revised edition. Editor and writer Nolan tells how the pair's most popular musicals were created, and provides details about the people who took part. Released to coincide with the centennial year of Richard Rodgers, this new edition contains previously unpublished material on Rodgers' early life and a new appendix summarizing the continuing importance of the artists' work from 1978 to the present.
