A History of Pan-African Revolt

James (1901-1989), who was born in Trinidad and lived in both London and the U.S., chronicles the revolt of black laborers against occupiers and slave owners in Haiti, the United States, and Africa, placing black people at the center of world events leading the proletariat revolution.
