Fire and Hearth : A study of Aboriginal usage and European usurpation in south-western Australia

In this text, Hallam argues that the Australian landscape was under a controlled Aboriginal system of land care and food procurement long before the English arrived. The author focuses primarily on the use of fire in pre-anglo agriculture.
