§06§Die in der Reihe IFLA Series on Bibliographic Control (früher: UBCIM- Universal Bibliographic Control and International MARC ) erscheinenden Publikationen vermitteln detailliertes Wissen über bibliographische Standards und Normen, deren Pflege und Entwicklung für den weltweiten Austausch nationaler bibliographischer Informationen unverzichtbar geworden ist. Die Bände dieser Reihe geben außerdem einen umfassenden und genauen Überblick über die große Bandbreite verfügbarer nationaler bibliographischer Dienste. §07§The IFLA Series on Bibliographic Control includes titles which provide detailed information on bibliographic standards and norms, the cultivation and development of which has become indispensable to the exchange of national bibliographic information on an international level. The Series also gives a comprehensive, accurate overview of a wide range of national bibliographic services on offer. §16§In a networked and globalized world of information the form of national bibliographies may have changed, however their major function remains unchanged: to inform about a country's publication landscape, its cultural and intellectual heritage. Subject access offers a major route into this landscape providing information about the dispersion of publications in specific fields of knowledge and topics contained in a particular national publishing output.
