30 international artists and collectives explore the fundamentals of human coexistence. The focus is on land management. Land connects: we cultivate and manage it, we share feelings for our homeland. Land divides: some have it, others do not. Land ownership has been and remains a decisive factor of power in all social systems. How can housing remain affordable? How can the Amazon be preserved as the green lung of the planet? And how can cooperation across borders and differences become a source of joy again? The exhibition “Land and Soil” invites visitors to understand their own place in the history of the global economy and to design a just future. The publication introduces the artists and brings the world of soil to life.
