Candidiasis is a cosmopolitan disease caused by ubiquitous Candida yeasts.Irritant or convex dermatitis is an erythematous dermatitis that starts in areas of diaper friction, reaching the buttocks, external genitalia and thighs, forming a W shape and respecting the folds. Yeasts present in the stool can cause superinfection. In infants, diaper rash can develop very rapidly, particularly in the event of diarrhea.Our study was carried out at Mali Hospital. It is a 10-month prospective descriptive study from July 2020 to April 2021. All infants with diaper dermatitis were included in our study. Species identification tests of the Candida genus were performed using the AUXACOLOR(TM)2 gallery, the principle of which is based on the assimilation of sugars.
