Resurrecting Family Histories and Biographies for Members of the Society of Friends in Ireland : John Boles, a Case Study (Brill Research Perspectives in Humanities and Social Sciences / Brill Research Perspectives in Quaker Studies)

This case study of John Boles (1661-1731) illustrates how one can write comprehensive biographies of Irish Quakers, most of whom have hitherto remained anonymous. Sources are analysed, genealogical charts constructed, and individuals' contributions are discussed in historical and socio-economic contexts.
