This volume collects the proceedings of the fifth conference in the Nonnus of Panopolis in Context series, bringing together twenty-seven contributions by leading specialists in Late Antique Greek poetry. The essays explore many aspects of the poetic production of Nonnus of Panopolis - the Dionysiaca and the Paraphrase of the Gospel of John - the literary and cultural context in which he lived and wrote, and his influence in later authors. With a particular focus on the notion of frontiers (of genres, of poems, geographic, or of physical elements), this collection offers a comprehensive overview of the current state of the field and highlights new directions in the study of one of Late Antiquity's most innovative and influential poets.
