A Silver Book, recent work by Thaleia-Maria Georgoulis : Text in English and Greek

This album of recent work by the talented Greek silversmith Thaleia-Maria Georgoulis marks her contribution to the COLLECT exhibition at London' s Victoria and Albert Museum. The small objects for daily use she has created are the expressions of an art that is abstract and minimalist to the point of asceticism. Using in most cases no other means than cracks, breaks and gashes she gives apparently simple objects new dimensions and significance, shaping small poems in silver in homage to the beauty that we fail to notice in our everyday existence.
