Orthopaedic Biomechanics : Mechanics and Design in Musculoskeletal Systems

For undergraduate courses in orthopedic biomechanics. Inspired by the authors’ own orthopaedic biomechanics courses, this text addresses the mechanical and structural aspects of the skeletal system – along with the analysis and design of orthopaedic implants that are used to repair the system when it is damaged. The text focuses on the fundamental topics of orthopaedic biomechanics, with a broad range of material that can be organized in various ways depending on the course’s emphasis.
