This wide-ranging book examines Bonhoeffer through the prism of problems facing the modern world. Our digital and globalised era has facilitated multiple and instantaneous connections between individuals and communities. Yet rather than drawing us closer together, the rise of political extremism and mental health conditions in the Western world suggests that many people are becoming increasingly isolated and disenfranchised, unable to listen and understand one another in genuine, mutual freedom.
