Suomala (religion, Luther College, Iowa) examines post- biblical dialogues within the Jewish interpretive tradition and dialogues influenced by this tradition, including translations, rewritten bible, rabbinic literature, and targams, based on the dialogues between God and Moses in the three chapters of Exodus. She is primarily interested in the extent to which the difference in the power and position between God and Moses influences the forms their communication takes in these dialogues.
