Berǧ offers a brief foreword to this big book (13x13"), honoring the memory of his life partner, renowned designer Yves St. Laurent, and the eight houses they shared together. He placed trust in writer Robert Murphy and photographer Ivan Terestchenko, knowing that their esteem for the late designer would permeate their investigation and documentation of the art, furniture, and decoration of these creatively constructed, and creation-filled home environments. After essays on the two men, their obsession with taste, and their influence, full-page images with captions showcase the homes, each briefly introduced. This is an English-language version of the original 2009 work published in French (Editions Albin Michel). Distributed in North America by Abrams.
