Wolf, a transformational healer with academic degrees in cognitive psychology and Oriental medicine, offers insight on living life in the spirit of a magical treasure hunt. While on a writing retreat in 1980, Wolf met anthropologist and shaman Carlos Castaneda, whose books sparked the New Age movement in the 1970s. He recounts his three-year apprenticeship with Castaneda and how it transformed him over the course of 30 years, from hedonistic beginnings to an awakening of love and compassion.
