This volume is designed as a guide for discussion groups of graduate students and faculty on academic ethics and shared governance between faculty and administrators. The text presents a detailed analysis of professional conduct in an historical context. Appendices provide a proposed code of ethics. The remainder of the text presents hypothetical scenarios to be used for discussing problems of the duties and rights of individual professors, the collegial body, and rights of faculty in shared governance.
