Trees, Shrubs, and Woody Vines of the Southwest

In this reprint of the U. of Texas Press edition of 1984, Vines (so aptly named) presents a guide to the native woody vines, trees and shrubs of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and adjacent areas. As noted in the author's preface to the 1960 edition, this work is based on 25 years of field study (it is not stated whether this is independent or affiliated academic study). Descriptions of 102 plant families from Gingkoaceae to Compositae include common names and information on field identification, plant parts, range; other remarks; and a drawing.
