Preissner rejects the idea that architecture should demand anything from its audience. The boring and dumb architecture documented leaves people alone, producing a conceptual space, a meaning independent of people's relationship to the work. Through a lot of drawings, some essays, and many photographs, he documents what happens when architecture stops begging for attention and instead makes space for reflection. Among the projects are the Tripoli Special Economic Zone, the Aarhus School of Architecture, and the Port of Kinmen Ferry Terminal. Annotation 2021 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
