Séraphine Louis - the story of her discovery as a painter sounds like a fairytale: The art dealer and collector Wilhelm Uhde, whose cleaning lady she was at that time, discovered her talent when he saw one of her still life paintings. Körner and Wilkens tell the story of her life as a painter beginning with her birth in Arsy, her 20 years stay in a monastery and her work in Senlis, up until the hospitalization into a psychiatry clinic, where she died in 1942.
