From Gauss to G|del, mathematicians have sought an efficientalgorithm to distinguish prime numbers from compositenumbers. This book presents a random polynomial timealgorithm for the problem. The methods used are fromarithmetic algebraic geometry, algebraic number theory andanalyticnumber theory.
