Dental implants are considered as a treatment of choice for the replacement of all types of dental loss. However, the indication of standard-sized implants can have limitations in some clinical situations, related to the bone volume, anatomic obstacles. Therefore, the mini-implants were found to overcome these limitations. Thus, several criteria of choice need to be defined to be able to decide which solution is more suitable for which clinical case.
