Noticed the recent trend in fantasy Singlit books written by women?
In this exciting panel with 2 leading Singaporean SFF authors, join us for a discussion moderated by Chloe Tong on what Singapore-as-setting does for the urban fantasy genre at large.
Camille Chong is the debut author of Love, Gods and Sinners, a snappy, New Adult fantasy rom-com set in Singapore. She is a Singapore-raised and occasionally London-based writer. She wrote and sold her novel while pursuing her Law LLB degree at UCL, and now spends her less-glittering, non-author life as a solicitor-in-training.
Wen-Yi Lee is the Nebula Award-nominated author of When They Burned the Butterfly, Where Rivers Made the Gods, and The Dark We Know, and editor of forthcoming horror anthology The Kids Came Back Wrong. Her work often finds intersections of history, speculation, troubling women, and ghosts, and has appeared in short form in venues like Lightspeed, Uncanny, Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy, and Best New Singaporean Short Stories.
