Philosophy of Science

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Frank (1884-1966) saw a conflict in the US between people who wanted to spur scientific teaching and research to keep up with the Communists, and those who wanted to turn away from secular science and back to moral and religious philosophy. His goal, then was to show that the two fields are not antagonistic nor mutually exclusive, but in fact both drink from the same philosophical, methodological, and historical spring.
