Bailey's work was originally published by the Bureau of American Ancestry in seven separate books from 1896-1906. This is a reprint of the 1968 version, which included additions, corrections, and an introduction by Donald Lines Jacobus, who used the books extensively for genealogy research. The records have been taken from First Congregational churches in 200 towns. They are listed by town and then by date. Each volume is indexed separately by surname.
