Baralam and Yewasef

First published in 2005. This text, the first English translation of the Ethiopic version of a Christianized Buddhist legend, will certainly be of interest to any reader with a penchant for the unusual or an appetite for the abstruse. The book also contains descriptions of numerous other versions of the story, including Syriac, Hebrew and Western European. Budge's clear, literal translation is a delight to read and is supplemented by numerous illustrations.
