Understanding British Values in Primary Schools : Policy and practice (Transforming Primary Qts Series)

Schools must actively promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. The Teachers′ Standards make it clear that teachers themselves must do nothing to undermine these fundamental British Values.
