Blackdog

In a land where gods walk the hills and goddesses rise from rivers, lakes, and springs, veteran caravan-guard Holla-Sayan stops to help an abandoned child and a dying dog. The girl, though, is the incarnation of Attalissa, goddess of Lissavakail, and her dog not a canine companion but a shape-changing guardian spirit.
