She obtained her PhD from Jadavpur University in Kolkata in 2010. She was formerly a Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Material, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata as well as Marie Curie Fellow in the Laboratoire de Chimie Physique at the University of Paris-Sud, France and Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at the Universidad De Alcala, Spain.
