§16§Recently, the collaboration between theory and experimentsin high-energy physics has become again more fruitful, important and practically indispensable. The contributionsto this volume clearly summarize, in terms of the standardmodel of elementary particles, the present understanding ofhigh-energy physics and present an outlook how to go beyondthis standard model. Phenomenological aspects are stressedoutlining possible extensions of the standard model withmain topics covering higher order corrected electroweakinteractions, CP violation, quark flavour mixing, latticeQCD, and dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking. Many newexperiments are described to explore high-energy physicseither by the highest available accelerators or by veryhigh precision experiments forrare processes. Including avariety of theoretical models proposed beyond the standardmodel, it presents a global knowledge and a balanced view ofhigh-energy physics reaching §16§ beyond this decade. §04§Physics at the TRISTAN e+e- Collider.- High-Energy Antiproton-Proton Collisions - The Collider Detector at Fermilab.- Tests of the Standard Model at LEP.- Role of Radiative Corrections in the Electroweak Theory.- Electroweak Symmetry Breaking: Top Quark Condensates.- Searches at LEP.- CP Violation in the Decays of the Neutral Kaon.- CP Violation.- D- and B-Physics from Lattice QCD.- Concluding Remarks.- Index of Contributors.
