Effect of heat Input on Residual Stress in Submerged Arc welding (2014. 148 S. 220 mm)

§16§Submerged arc welding generates high amount of heat and due to continuous heat and cooling the residual stress developed in weldment. This book is an effort to understand the temperature distribution and residual stress development in welding. The thermocouples are used to online measurement of temperatures and XRD technique for the residual stress measurements. Control of residual stress development can improve the weld strength and reduce distortion.
