Proliferation and Bifurcation of the Sufi Orders in Twentieth-Century Egypt

This study of the Sufi orders in Egypt covers a period of seventy-five years, from the abolition of right of qadam (priority) in 1905 till the adoption of the Law on the Sufi Orders adopted by the Egyptian Parliament in 1976.
