The Child in French and Francophone Literature (French Literature Series)

Fifteen contributions (ten in English and five in French) from scholars from North America and Europe reflect on the representation and construction of childhood in French and Francophone literature. Sample topics include retellings of the Little Red Riding Hood story, a Cameroonian coming-of-age narrative, and the significance of game playing in Rousseau's Les Confessions .
