The author, Mimiko's brother, recounts the election and legal battle between Rahman Olusegun Mimiko, known as Iroko, who submitted his petition to the Election Petition Tribunal at Akure in 2007 to reclaim the mandate given to him to become the next governor in the election in Ondo State of Nigeria, as the election results were challenged by incumbent Governor Olusegun Agagu in an attempt to rig the election, including the unrest that occurred, the trial, and Mimiko's win.
