On 26 January 1962, TPB Menon became the first local graduate of the
then Faculty of Law of the University of Malaya in Singapore to be called
to the Singapore Bar. In the ensuing years, he was to rise to the very top
of his profession. Not only was Menon to become Singapore’s leading
chancery lawyer, he was also elected President of the Law Society of
Singapore in 1980 and President of the ASEAN Law Association in 1984.
This book celebrates Menon’s 60 years at the Singapore Bar. Part
personal chronicle, part family and professional biography, this volume
also includes Menon’s thoughts on cases he has handled and also those
that grabbed the local headlines.
