"Paris, 1978. Dawit, a young and beautiful Ethiopian refugee, lives in squalor. Despite being the educated son of wealthy parents, he roams the streets of Paris, penniless. By chance, Dawit spots the famous French author, M., who at sixty is at the height of her fame, elegant yet faded. Seduced by Dawit's grace and moving story, M. invites him to live with her in a wealthy quartier of Paris. He makes himself indispensable, or so he thinks. M. brings him to her Sardinian villa, beside Cala di Volpe-the Bay of Foxes. There, under the Mediterranean sun, Dawit finds love and temptation and perfects the art of deception."--P. [2] of cover.
