In May 1862, Richard Henry Brooks enlisted in the Confederate Army and served for the duration of the war. This volume contains the letters he wrote to his wife, Telitha, over the course of three years of separation and hardship. In them, Brooks advises Telitha on the daily details of running the household, thus providing a glimpse into the everyday home life of Confederate Georgia.
