Morrison, who calls himself "an artist who happens to be an Indian," paints a self-portrait of a life of changing horizons and artistic achievement. Born to a large family in a rural area, Morrison attended art school in Minneapolis and went to the Art Students League in New York City, where he was swept up in Abstract Expressionism.
