A shocking murder.
A dangerous pursuit.
A deadly case for Jones and Cryer.
On a tranquil summer morning, a young couple strolls through Edgbaston City Park when an encounter with a stranger turns fatal. In a matter of seconds, the young man's throat is slashed, and the killer disappears.
DCI David Jones and DS Philip Cryer are called to the scene too late to track the suspect. They follow a single lead, a fingerprint belonging to a known criminal, but their investigation soon spirals into a perilous chase.
Jones and Cryer must rely on their instincts, their partnership, and their nerve to stop a killer, who is always one step ahead.
Because in Serenity Broken, peace is just an illusion.
