A native of Baton Rouge, Haase guides tours through the building that is now a museum, and is on the advisory board of the Old State Capital Associates. She traces the unusual building's history since its construction in 1850 through its occupation and destruction during the Civil War, its rebuilding, abandonment, and the struggle to restore it, to the present.
