Alcohol abuse remains an unsolved problem, enormously costly and enormously painful. Over 60 percent of adults drink alcohol and half of those drink heavily at some point. Excessive alcohol consumption contributes to violent crime, damages the liver and brain, impairs judgment, leads to depressive symptoms and causes nutrient deficiencies.
But there is hope: nutrition can cure alcohol addiction. Alcoholism is not a disease. Rather, the person called an "alcoholic" has a sick body and seeks relief by consuming alcohol. Megavitamin therapy is cheaper, safer and more effective than drugs or counselling. Alcoholics suffer from a nutrient deficiency, especially vitamin B3. This book outlines the nutritional factors proven successful in treating alcoholism.
This book can help those who suffer from alcohol addiction, their friends and loved-ones, and those in the relevant helping professions.
