While many doubted that a zoo-born-and-raised orangutan could be successfully released into the jungle, Bullo, a dedicated keeper at the Perth Zoo, did the unthinkable. Reaching for the Canopy recounts Temaras and Bullos journey making zoological and conservation history. Citing the release of Temara into the Bukit Tigapulush (thirty hills) ecosystem in the province of Jami in Central Sumatra as the highlight of her career, it was also a project that carried much risk and harsh, exhausting conditions.
