First published in South Africa in 2002, this book is a dated but informative historical account of the attacks and the changes brought about in the US, South Africa, and the international community. It covers the significance of shifting business strategy to a "transformational paradigm of strategic management." This involves using a five step competitive intelligence (CI) technique to develop an "industry and competitive analysis profile." While the general account of the attack's aftermath is written primarily for the ordinary reader, the use of CI in strategic management is written primarily for the business strategist. But near the end the five step process is also briefly discussed as being applicable to everyday decisions of individuals. This book is now available for the first time in the US. No index is provided. Annotation 2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
