§16§This book is based on the thought of Gabriel Marcel and offers an introduction to the central categories of Marcel's thought, focusing on his idea of existential humanism. This study deals with the ambivalence of human existence and the concepts of being, ego and bodiliness. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Zimbabwe in 2003. His research focuses on the Human Condition and Hope, drawing from the thought of Gabriel Marcel. He was a faculty member at Arrupe College, the Jesuit School of Philosophy and Humanities in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 1999-2003. He co-authored the book, Marcel, Girard, Bakhtin: The Return of Conversion (2004). He is working on a book tentatively titled: Tragic Humanity and Hope: On Understanding Our Struggle to be Scientific, Sapiential, and Moral.
